How we do it.
- Open cell on OSB or a liner.4 inches or more, and never on bare metal.
- Closed cell on the metal.2 inches or more, with a coating strongly recommended.
- The building has to be empty.Equipment and stored items come out before we arrive.
- We bring the lifts and scaffolding.No rentals needed to reach the roof line.

R-value measures how well insulation holds back heat. Higher is better. Closed cell is rigid and also blocks moisture; open cell is softer and dampens sound. Ranges are from Universal Polymers (UPC) data sheets, tested at 1 inch. We choose the foam for each job. See the data sheets
Questions.
How long before people or animals can go back in?
People, pets and livestock can go back in after 12 to 24 hours.
Can you spray in winter?
Spray foam is temperature sensitive. We don't spray below 20°F except in certain situations, and we check the conditions before every job.
Do you spray over old insulation?
No. Old insulation has to be removed first so the foam can be installed correctly.
